District Handover

At the Bristol Hilton Hotel, Lion Alan Denham, recently Secretary of the Club, was inaugurated as District Governor of Lion Club District 105W. This position is for one year and a singular honour for both Lion Alan and our Club. As District Governor, Lion Alan is the administrative head of 68 clubs covering South Wales and areas within some six counties this side of the Severn Estuary. During his term of office he is required to visit every club within the District to guide and support them in their aim to aid those less fortunate, whether locally or internationally.

In 1970 Alan joined Lions in Zambia and came back to England in 1979. He was a member of two other clubs before joining our club in 1981. Since that time he has been President three time and Secretary / Treasurer over a period of nearly eight years.

The club will miss his guidance and work during this period of office.
