Club NEWS 2022

• Prostate screening, 10 September:

  A successful day providing 200 free tests and a further 49 at £20 each. 222 men had green results. 7 men had amber results. 20 men had red results. An excellent service project.

  Hallatrow & High Littleton Village Day 27 August:

  A beautiful day promoting lions and MIAB (Message In a Bottle). We raised £55.50 from the lions tombola.

  Duck race Saturday 4 June

We had a good day, no rain!  We sold 277 ducks in the morning prior to the race. We held five heats with the first 10 from each heat taking part in the final race. The final race saw duck 734, coming in first, 797 coming in second with 785 coming third. 734 earned Mr Thatcher the first prize of 50.  We are very grateful to Mr Thatcher for donating his winnings to the club charity funds. 797 was the second prize of £30. 785 was the third prize of £20. The race boosted our charity funds by just over £600. Our grateful thanks to all who supported us.

• June meeting: We donated £500 to Radstock Scout group towards the installation of an intruder alarm, following the vandalism they had experienced.

• May meeting: We donated £1,000 to Fosseway School in support of Project Search and £300 towards the purchase of an outdoor day bed for a disabled person in Chilcompton.

• March meeting: We donated £500 to High Littleton Scout Group, £200 to support relief work in Madagascar, £250 to Ukraine, £150 for a microwave oven for a needy person in Coleford and £150 towards Medic Alert.
